MTN SWAMA AWARDS GAIN MOMENTUM

MBABANE – Artists and members of the public have shown high interest in the much awaited MTN SWAMA Awards.

The response in the nomination process has so far been overwhelming, with the public and the artists themselves being fully involved, something that is being appreciated by the awards organising committee.

Those who have taken the interest on the awards especially the public are required to nominate their favourite artists who will then be judged by professional judges on the night.

Those who still want to nominate their favourite artists can still do so as the nomination process comes to an end on April 30.
It is after this date that all the nominated names will be checked if they are eligible and qualify for the next round.

Once the nominees have been decided, the public will then be informed and will be expected to start voting for their choice of artist.
They can vote as many times as they can to allow the artist to be among the winners on the big night.
For the nomination process which is currently continuing, those who have the interest of seeing their choice of artists participating in the awards can send a text message to 79262 (#MTN SWAMA).

Melusi Zox Dlamini, MTN SWAMA Awards organising committee chairperson, said they were impressed with the nomination process which is currently continuing.

“So far the response has been overwhelming and Swazis are participating. We will only announce the nominees on June 3, after which the voting process will begin,” he said.

He said there would be three nominees per category and the public is urged to also take part in the voting process.
