MBABANE - Seluleko Dlamini and Nelisiwe Shongwe are Scot’s Mr and Miss Fresher’s 2017.

This comes after a night of happy students who played a huge role influencing the judge’s decisions on crowning the college’s freshest couple.
Sixty five contestants competed against each other in hope to scoop the title.

They were coupled in the beginning of the competition and they would walk up on stage with their partners and introduce themselves.
Some decided to be solo, while some had two dates. However, the event which was expected to start at around 7pm ended up starting just after 9pm due to the fact that there was havoc by the entrance, mainly caused by drunk students who would demand to enter for free, claiming that they had already paid at the main gate.

Now and again, the DJ would drop some sounds that made a lot of students dance uncontrollably.
Every now and then one or two students would jump on stage and dance and the MCs would have a hard time removing them as they were under the influence of alcohol.
However, all 65 contestants walked in and introduced themselves, letting the audience know who they were and what course they were doing. Contestants were dressed in evening wear and most of the ladies had their faces done by a professional make-up artist.

Cutting down the 65 to only 10 couples, the judges had a tough time in trying to choose the best as the audience was firmly screaming the names that they thought deserved to be part of the top ten.
After what seemed to be hours, the ten couples were announced on stage.
They were then given a chance to prove their worth on why they should be crowned the next Mr and Miss Fresher’s through a question and answer session that they did individually.
