MBABANE – Swazi beauty Dalingcebo Dlamini’s skilful ingadla dance moves won her the crown at the Miss Cultural SCOT pageant.

The event, full of excitement, anxiety and fun was held at the Mbabane  SCOT campus on Friday night, where 10 contestants competed  for the cultural pageant crown.

The night began just after 8pm with the students being introduced on stage through the ummiso dance.
They danced slowly through the stage so as to give the audience and the judges who were closely paying attention to every detail, a good look at each of them.

The lively crowd was screaming and cheering for their favourite contestants from the moment they entered the stage.
The favourite names which were being screamed across the hall included contestant number four, which was Tintile Gule and Nelsiwe Shongwe who was contestant number five.

Amazed

The excitement within the arena got even better when the contestants came back on stage to dance the energetic ingadla,  which got some of the audience on their feet as they were amazed by the solo performances delivered by each of the contestants.
Since the pageant’s main focus is Swazi culture, it was presented very well throughout the contest, as each contestant showcased  talent of traditional  dancing.

After the showcase, it was time for the question and answer session which was all based on Swazi culture and traditions.
The questions were all asked in the SiSwati language and contestants had to answer in proper SiSwati as well.
