MBABANE – As most of the youth would say, ‘Look at God’ when they feel they have achieved something that their peers said they couldn’t, and we wouldn’t hate if our own DJs Toxik and Trippy King 20 would run with those lines too.

Just as the year began, the two locals landed an opportunity to record and shoot a music video with Nigerian superstar Ice Prince, and now the song is already making waves in South Africa and Nigerian radio stations.

Dubbed ‘Ballers Only’, the song describes  the life of a typical hip hop artist and a DJ about  how hard work eventually pays off and thereafter, one is allowed to enjoy the results through having a good time. The ‘Ballers Only’ video was recently shot in South Africa and it is one video that industry players hope will give the local artists a platform of growth and exposure. Talking to Trippy King, he said he was excited at how he has started the year on a good note, having recently dropped his much anticipated ‘Gravel Roads’ Mixtape which is dedicated to his mother, then being featured in a music video that also has Ice Prince in it.

On the other hand, DJ Toxik said he too was happy at the fact that his hard work was finally showing its rewards and that he felt proud to be one of the people who have broken barriers  with regards to landing international features.

While the single is getting massive airplay in Nigerian radio stations, the video of the song was shot by Swazi producer and videographer Michael Hlatshwayo’s Black and White Productions.
It is expected to start airing on Swazi TV, Channel S as well as the DSTV channels in the first week of February.
