ORIIGINELLE ROCKS GABORONE

MBABANE- Whoever thought that local artists are only limited to shine in the kingdom was wrong as they are breaking all boundaries and sharing stages with big hip hop shots like Rick Ross. 


Oriiginelle left the country to perform in Botswana. For the very first time, American rapper Rick Ross was scheduled to perform in the city of Gaborone at Duma FM Grounds on New Year’s Eve. Local female rapper, Oriiginelle had the privilege to get an invite to also be one of the artists who would share the stage with the American rapper. According to reports, the event was a huge  success as the American rapper gave a show that many people described as a ‘humdinger’.


Talking about her experience on sharing the stage with a well-known and respected star, Oriiginelle said she doesn’t know exactly how she can thank everyone enough for the continued support that


“If you aren’t using your talents to better lives and inspire people then what are you doing? The goal I am trying to reach here is to make the world look at us and wish they were Swazi. Sharing the stage and getting to meet Rick Ross has been an experience of a lifetime,” she said.
Oriiginelle first graced the local music scene during this year’s fifth edition of the Hipnotik Festival with the hit song ‘Panda’, performing alongside Milkey. 


Speaking to Christian Tabo of THASA Management where Oriigenelle is signed under, he said they take pride in their job towards creating opportunities for local artists to explore the music industry in different stages across the world and that they pride themselves that this dream has started becoming a reality.
