MBABANE – The year 2017 looks good already in the local entertainment scene as Swazi artists are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

This mantra was proven during the past weekend’s Big Five crossover party that had 90 per cent local artists lined up and was successful enough to attract thousands of fun lovers.

With his vernacular lyrics and rhymes, Diba Diba needs no introduction to the masses as he has previously released numerous singles that have changed the local hip hop game.

His brand and selection of words in his lyrics tell of a story of a boy who is growing up to be a man who is deeply rooted in his culture and also get to share life experiences while undergoing this journey.
The album is titled ‘Diba waNgwane’ and it has 14 tracks which are described by the vernec rapper as ‘Work of art’.

Its artwork shows off the singer in an almost conflicted position, where it shows that he sometimes thinks about the modern everyday life that includes, fast cars, big city lights and beautiful women, whereas on the other side it shows that the rapper thinks about his roots, his culture and where he comes from.
