MBABANE – Wet and cold weather has never stopped fun lovers when they want to party and Saturday night proved just that.

This was during the SwaziBoy & Mega Sound Spring bash Festival, held at Esibayeni Lodge, Ronde Vu on Saturday.
Gates were opened to the public from as early as midday as the 24-hour Spring bash saw two dance floors set up for fun lovers. Since Spring has arrived and we hope to see more cool, warm  and rainy days and some  sunny days, the weather was rather cold on Saturday night .

The event started on a slow note during  the day, as both dance floors remained empty despite a line-up of over 20 DJs from both the Swazi Boy stable and Mega Sound entertainment stable. .  This  made most of the early arrivals doubtful whether the event would kickoff but come 8pm, one could tell it was about to be  a night of real fun. MC for the day was the bubbly and energetic  ‘Ur Girl Zee’ who welcomed all the fun lovers to the ‘Akulalwa’ vibe. She made sure to keep everyone hyped and encouraged them to keep their ice buckets filled as it was about to get crazy.

She was not wrong as most people  flooded in later in the night and the dance fun frenzy began.  The SwaziBoy marquee and Mega Sound marquee both had the same number of people occupying them, as Mega Sound focused more on the house beats, while SwaziBoy gave out urban and ragga sounds.

Most people would hop from one marquee to the other in order to get the beat of both urban beats and the house vibes. The Swaziboy dance floor  got warmed up when DJ Mix Mash took to the  decks and played popular tracks, mixing both old skool Boom Shaka mixes and new Babes Wodumo sounds. He then took the crowd by storm when he started dishing out his 90s music, something that he is renowned for.

Adding more flare was the Majestic Dance crew, which showcased their dancing skills  and had fun lovers dabbing along . Ladies could not help but scream and asking for more as their 10 minute dance set came to an end and they had to walk off the stage. The dance crew was followed by Ear Candy Mix’s own DJ MBO, who as always had his fans cram the dance floor. They DJ’s one hour set saw some ladies dance up to him and show off their dancing skills in front of the DJ booth. On the other side of the venue, where the Mega Sound dance floor was situated, the vibe also picked up when DJ Smish kept the crowd dancing and creaming for more with his hip hop and urban beats. Later in the evening, there was a live performance presented by Eskay which kept the crowd jamming and rhyming along to his lyrics.
