MBABANE – A multimillion new millennium CTM outlet is coming to Matsapha.

The largest home style shop will open doors to members of the public at its latest structure which measures 6 000 square metres within the next few weeks. The structure comprises of a spacious retail area, dispatch, store room and cafe.

Director Zane Duraes narrated that the expansion had been borne out of the demand for their quality products among the Eswatini populace and the strong desire to provide service at a convenient shopping environment.

Development

He explained that the new shop located at the Matsapha Industrial sites above Eswatini Beverages would be the main CTM outlet in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

“The ultimate objective of opening the new store is to ensure that our customers derive more value for money,” promised Duraes.  Asked how many jobs had been provided by the recent development, which has already been completed and ready for occupation, Duraes disclosed that about 20 individuals and businesses had been presented with job opportunities apart from the construction phase undertaken by AMS Construction.

He mentioned that CTM currently employs about 20 direct members of staff, who would also be added as the new project takes off.
In terms of how the development complements the national private sector development strategy, Duraes said they were glad to be part of the businesses that foster improvement of the business environment to help towards attainment of  His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision to mutate Eswatini into a First World country by 2022. “Businesses and individuals will no longer have to procure products they need from outside the kingdom because we will provide a one stop shop for all to suit their needs at all times,” Duraes said.

Innovative

In 1983, CTM pioneered a new concept in tile retailing, bringing exceptional levels of style and design within easy reach of everyday South African consumers. In 1995, they expanded to include baths, basins, toilets, showers, cabinets, taps, related-tools, adhesives, and tile care products. What started as an innovative way to sell tiles, turned into the most popular, one-stop home style shop.
