MBABANE – Stefanutti Stocks has emerged as the best evaluated tenderer to be granted the tender for phase two of Ncoboza – Dobson Road valued at E11.4 million.

Tender results issued by the Swaziland Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (SPPRA) and signed off by Mbabane Municipal Council Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bongani Dlamini reflect that the actual cost to undertake the project will be E11 499 999.99.
The Eswatini construction company out-bidded Heptagon Construction (Pty) Ltd, Inyatsi Construction (Pty) Ltd, Roots Civils (Pty) Ltd and Kukhanya Civil Engineering Contractors (Pty) Ltd.

Out of the companies which had shown interest to execute the multimillion job, the highest bidder was Inyatsi Construction whose bid stood at E20.1 million while the lowest was Kukhanya Civil Engineering Contractors (Pty) Ltd.

Qualification

It should, however, be mentioned that Kukhanya’s proposed personnel did not meet qualification experience as per bid documents and the number of years doing similar work.

Further, their financial auditor’s report for the period ending June 2017 did not give adequate evidence for the liquid assets to support the financial capability for the project.

Dlamini announced that in terms of the Public Procurement Act of 2011, a period of 10 working days would be allowed for submission of any application for review by the tenderers, before the actual contract could be entered into with Stefanutti Stocks and the municipality.

Stefanutti Stocks Construction has also been recently awarded a contract worth E2.8 million by the Ezulwini Municipality.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vusi Matsebula and Stefanutti Stocks signed a five months contract for construction of Mkhaya Road from gravel to bitumen standard.
