EZULWINI – Nedbank has presented a dividend cheque of over E7.4 million to government.

The cheque was presented to the Deputy Prime Minister, Paul Dlamini during the event where Nedbank hosted about 150 clients to a business engagement breakfast meeting on Friday, under the theme ‘Creating Value in a constrained economy’ which speaks to the bank’s brand promise of being “Money Experts Who Do Good”.

The government of Eswatini holds 22.35 per cent shares at the only banking institution listed on the Swaziland Stock Exchange.
During the well-attended event held at the Royal Swazi Sun Convention Centre, Managing Director Fikile Nkosi said the bank was continuously exploring ways in which it could make banking work for their clients.
“In everything we do, we consider not only what is best for our customers, our business and all our stakeholders, but also how we can contribute to the process of building a strong economy wherever we operate.

To us, the importance of money to businesses is common knowledge – as money can help convert an idea into a commercially viable product or service. Realising business aspirations largely depends on how money is managed. Hence, Nedbank’s inspiration to help our clients see money differently,” she said, adding that their goal is aimed at aligning the bank’s entire business so that the client experience and the products and services offered are congruent to the brand promise.

Nkosi continued, “As Nedbank, we want to be top of mind when clients think of how they can grow their businesses. We want to be part of your journey and as we have the ways and means, we want to help clients achieve their business goals and objectives. And we are here to assure our clients that we are with them not just when things are going well in their businesses, but for the long haul.”
Also gracing the event was Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs Christopher Gamedze, as well as Nedbank Group Chief Operations Officer Mfundo Nkuhlu and Nedbank Rest of Africa Managing Executive Dr. Terrence Sibiya, among others.
