MAVELA RESIGNS AS SIMAVSHEQ MD

MBABANE – Mavela James Sigwane has resigned as Managing Director (MD) of SIMAV SHEQ Consultancy & Training.

Sigwane resigned after having served in the MD’s position for the past thirteen (13) years. Sigwane explained that the reason for this resignation had been necessitated by the global growth of the SIMAV Investments Group which required his attention. He said continued occupation of the MD’s position may compromise the performance of SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy & Training as a business unit of SIMAV Investments Group. He announced that the MD as directed by the directors of SIMAV Investments (PTY) LTD would be Felicity Nonhlanhla Sigwane who would be taking over the responsibility of SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy & Training effective from the beginning of the 2019 -2020 financial year which begins in July 2018.

Handover

“The next two months will be designated as the official handover period to ensure a smooth takeover by the newly appointed incumbent,” said Sigwane. The outgoing MD thanked the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, business contacts and the public in general during his tenure. “May you once again extend the same to the incoming Managing Director of SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy & Training who has also served the organisation for thirteen (13) years as a Finance Manager,” pleaded Sigwane. Sigwane mentioned that the MD position would be new to Felicity but the organisational operations may not be totally new, except that the clients might not have had the opportunity to engage with her in face to face meetings which will be mostly new during her term of office as a MD. “Your continued support to this new change will be highly appreciated,” said Sigwane. Mavela will continue providing his technical expertise to SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy & Training in his capacity as a Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality (SHERQ) Engineer reporting to the Lead Consultant.

Leadership

“Clients confidence is highly guaranteed in this change on the Leadership of SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy and Training in line with the Corporate Governance Codes and the International Standards including the gender compliance requirements more on women in leadership,” said Sigwane. SIMAVSHEQ Consultancy & Training has been certified as ISO 9001 which is the Quality Management System standards which assured customers service delivery excellence from 2017, it was in that regard that this change could not be delayed to ensure that the business growth and customer satisfaction remains key focus across the organisation.
