STEFANUTTI STOCKS WINS E2.8M EZULWINI TENDER

MBABANE – Stefanutti Stocks Construction stands to be awarded a contract worth E2.8 million by the Ezulwini Municipality.


The tender, where Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vusi Matsebula and Stefanutti Stocks are expected to sign the five months contract on the dotted line at the end of this month, is for the construction of Mkhaya Road from gravel to bitumen standard.


Matsebula reported that Stefanutti Stocks outsmarted Heptagon Company and Pots Construction to emerge as the best evaluated tenderer.


Heptagon Company had submitted the highest bid price of E3 111 109 while while Pots Construction closely followed the eventual winner with a bid price of E3 029 714.
Roots Civils and Afrotim Construction were rejected from the tendering exercise.


Requirements


It was mentioned that Roots did not make the cut because they submitted plant and equipment that did not meet the requirements.
Afrotim lost out on the business opportunity because they provided a bid security which was not in accordance with the bid requirements.


The tender results were issued in accordance with the Public Procurement Act of 2011 which stipulates that the company or enterprise granting the job should allow for a period of 10 working days for any application for review by all tenderers.     
Most recently, Roots Civils was granted the tender for upgrading of Mantenga Roads package B at the same municipality valued at E3.4 million.


Tender results reflected that Roots Civils was competing against the same companies and emerged victorious.
The company successfully competed against Stefanutti Stocks, Pots Construction and Heptagon in the race to be awarded the job where the total sum of money to be paid out stood at E3 471 733. 31.
