MBABANE – If you have intentions to own a reputable business located at the heart of the largest industrial area in the kingdom, Brisan Pumps is the solution.

The 22-year-old business located at the heart of the Matsapha Industrial Site opposite Swaziland Railway next to the Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) Depot has been placed on the market by owner Mike Collins for E1.5 million.

The core business includes borehole pump installation and repairs, pressure booster systems, borehole pump tests, stand and tank installations.

Asked what had prompted him to sell the business, Collins briefly said retirement and future plans of consulting to the industry provided the main reasons why the business was up for grabs.

Explaining some of the probable benefits to be enjoyed by the new owner of the profitable business being sold with working equipment excluding the premises; Collins said: “The company is sold as a debt free, going concern and will continue to benefit the new owner financially.”

Explaining what would happen to the eight members of staff currently employed by the business, Collins said the business remained a going concern. Therefore, staff ought to go with the business to ensure its smooth operations in future. One of the female employees interviewed by the Business Desk to get a feel of how staff feels about the pending transaction said they were pleased with the manner in which Collins and management handled the intended sale.

The employee, who preferred to remain anonymous, disclosed that management informed them well ahead that they intended to sell the business. She said they had been impressed by the fact that nothing pertaining to the sale and any further developments were done secretly.

She mentioned that they were paid terminal benefits in 2017 and then re-employed as part of the processes undertaken to ensure a swift change of ownership.

Federation of the Swaziland Business Community (FESBC) President Tum Du Pont advised potential buyers that Brisan Pumps was a reputable brand under the leadership of a wise businessman. He stated that he had personally done business with the company before and had been impressed with the customer service and turnaround time.

“Brisan Pumps is a viable business opportunity with a good location. I would personally recommend it to any entrepreneur who wishes to venture into their line of business,” said Du Pont.
