MBABANE – Bidders took advantage of the Nedbank cars auction to own SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles) and bakkies while the trending Ford Ranger double cabs did not attract bids.

Duly instructed by Nedbank Swaziland Limited, Rexy’s Investments intended to dispose nearly 10 motor vehicles by public auction at Afritool, Sidwashini (past Interfreight opposite World Vision).
The auction was conducted by Rexy’s Investments Director Melusi Qwabe starting from 10:30 am and nearly 20 people were in attendance.

Bidders who were interested at participating at the auction were expected to pay a refundable deposit of E3 000.
Viewing of the motor vehicles was conducted on Wednesday between 1pm and 4pm at the same premises where the auction was conducted.
The auctioneer said prices were affordable when considering the value of motor vehicles on offer at retail price and condition.
All the motor vehicles that were up for grabs were in good running condition.

A motor vehicle that attracted the highest bid was the 2017 Toyota Hilux 2.0 VVTI which had travelled for only 14 481 kilometres which was eventually sold for E210 000 from a reserve price of E142 500.

The lowest bid received by Qwabe was for the Nissan Navara 2.5 DCI XE which had been on the road for 259 873 kilometres that was sold for E60 000.
