E1.4M FOR MANZINI MUNICIPAL ORGANISATIONAL REVIEW

MBABANE – SM Corporate Services stands to be awarded a contract worth E1.4 million for review of the organisational structure, benchmarking and establishment.

Tender results issued by Swaziland Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (SPPRA) reflect that SM Corporate Services outsmarted 360 Degree Business Solution in the race to be awarded the tender. The exact amount of money to be paid by the municipality to the Swazi company for undertaking the review exercise was E1 454 000.

Undertaking

It should be mentioned that 360 Business Degree Solutions, whose price for undertaking the same exercise was E530 000, did not emerge as victorious because they were non-responsive.   

The evaluation results were issued in accordance with section 45 of the Public Procurement Act number seven of 2011. It was stated that the intention to award the tender was reached by the approvals authority following a competitive bidding process.

“It must be noted that, in terms of section 45 (2) of the Act, the contract award decision does not constitute a contract,” the tender Board clarified.

Further, it was announced that in terms of the Act, all tenderers who submitted bids were notified that a period of 10 working days would be allowed for submission of any application for review from first date of publication of the notice.
