MBABANE - Swazispa Holdings (PTY) Limited has been taken to court by the company which was providing transport services in its hotels.

This comes after Swazispa terminated the agreement it had with Recon Transport Solutions (PTY) Limited.
Recon Transport Solutions (PTY) Limited was responsible for transporting passengers including staff members of the hotels from designated pickup points.

Swazispa Holdings is the company which operates The Lugogo Sun Hotel, Royal Swazi Sun and Royal Swazi Sun Casino.
The transport company wants the court to interdict Swazispa Holdings from appointing another service provider and also compel it to abide by the award agreement allegedly concluded between the parties.

Wiseman Magagula who is the director of the transport company alleged that the respondent (Swazispa Holding) had not attempted to terminate the agreement based on an alleged breach of any agreement it had with his company.

These are allegations contained in an affidavit whose veracity is still to be tested in court.
He claimed that the respondent relied on a clause in a subsequent agreement which granted it the power to terminate the agreement on three months’ notice.

According to Magagula the respondent put out for tender transport services to be provided to it.
He alleged that his company duly did so and on March 3, 2014 the tender was awarded to his company.
