MANZINI – There was a sombre mood at Manzini Central High School when 17 teachers were served with letter dismissing them from the employ of government yesterday.

The dismissal of the teachers has added to the 110 that were fired on Wednesday.

A delegation led by Nanikie Mnisi who represented the Schools Manager delivered the letters.

The Manzini Central High School had a total of 35 teachers.

When the delegation arrived at around 1pm most teachers had assembled in small groups outside classes.

Mnisi first met with the school principal, Girly Ginindza whom she sat with for sometime before moving into the Deputy principal’s office which is attached to the school hall.

The teachers were called one at a time to receive letters terminating their employment with effect from July 31.
