Ex-Rovers PRO favourite for PLS Brand Manager post
MBABANE – Former Mhlambanyatsi Rovers PRO, Nqobile Magagula, is favoured to land the recently created post of Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Brand Manager.
A source close to the matter disclosed that three names had been shortlisted by a recruitment company that handled the whole process of hiring the candidate.
The former Mhlambanyatsi Rovers PRO tops the list of the candidates and is followed by Simangaliso Mazibuko and elite league referee, Simanga Nhleko.
"The company which was tasked to interview and shortlist the candidates came out with the three names, and Magagula who has a Marketing Degree topped the list," the source said.
The elite football company executive committee chaired by Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze will have the final say on the matter whether to go for or against the recommendations.
However, our source further disclosed that the organisation would table a E15 000 salary for the post and the candidate would report directly to the chairman of the executive committee.
PLS CEO Zwelonkhe ‘Sport’ Dlamini refused to comment on the matter as he said it was being dealt with by the PLS executive committee.
"The matter is handled by the executive committee, and they are better placed to comment," he said.
On the other hand Magagula said she had not been updated on anything regarding the matter after her interview for the job so she could not comment.
The organisation resolved to hire a brand manager in May as part of taking the operations of the office forward.
