Thabile Myeni, hubby reconcile after a year
MBABANE – Erstwhile Ncandweni Christ Ambassadors member Thabile Myeni and her husband Sonnyboy Tsabedze have reconciled.
Tsabedze and the gospel artist had been separated for over a year after their marriage encountered problems last year.
The two are alleged to have separated after allegations of infidelity arose resulting in Tsabedze leaving their matrimonial home.
On Sunday the couple was officially reintroduced as husband and wife to the congregants at the Metropolitan Church in Manzini where they are members.
Announcing the reconciliation was Pastor Amos Matsenjwa, the leader of the church.
When contacted, Pastor Matsenjwa confirmed that the couple had, reconciled and stated that he was not in a position to disclose further details.
Their reconciliation was made possible by Myeni’s music producer and Manager, Dr Johannes Sibiya.
Myeni is now a solo gospel artist.
Sibiya, who owns JSM Production stable based in South Africa, said the reason he facilitated the reconciliation between the two parties was because it was wrong for Myeni to continue singing gospel while dealing with pending issues of divorce.
"With Pastor Matsenjwa we worked tirelessly to make sure that the two eventually smoked the peace pipe. I travelled from South Africa to witness the reconciliation of the couple," he said.
Sibiya said throughout the whole process the two had expressed their willingness to sort out their differences which had resulted in them separating.
He said after the couple was reconciled on Sunday they proceeded to have a braai and they (couple) left for their matrimonial home in one car.
Sibiya said they further advised the couple to pray as they believed the devil was out to destroy marriages.
He said on Sunday it was the first time Tsabedze went to the Metropolitan Church ever since the separation.
Sibiya said since the couple had reconciled Myeni who is a police officer will now concentrate on her music career and spreading the Word of God since she is also a preacher.
He said they also advised Tsabedze to also help counsel other couples who might have similar problems since he had managed to overcome them.
Also confirming the reconciliation was Penuel Myeni, Thabile’s manager, who expressed his delight that the will of God had finally prevailed.
"It is true that Thabile and her husband have finally reconciled. We thank God that they have sorted out their differences," he said.
The couple is reported to have asked not to comment on the issue for now.
