Take your case to the King - Masitsela
LAMGABHI – Manzini Regional Administrator Prince Masitsela has advised that teachers should abandon the strike action to present their case before His Majesty King Mswati III.
According to the prince, if the teachers’ move is not politically motivated the King could accommodate them if they felt that their concerns were being overlooked by the relevant structures.
Prince Masitsela said there were structures to be followed when addressing issues and once they were all exhausted, His Majesty was the only hope to bring harmony.
"The King can listen and accommodate the teachers," said the prince.
He said if the teachers’ action was politically motivated, then it would have serious consequences.
The prince said the teachers’ manner of approach was the main reason they were not getting attention.
He said what was watering down their efforts to be heard was that they were breaking the law by engaging in an illegal strike.
He strongly discouraged the teachers’ actions, stating that they had a very important role which is to groom the future generation.
Prince Masitsela said by virtue of their professions, teachers were responsible citizens but their actions suggest that they had forgotten their role.
"What the teachers are doing is strongly discouraged. I had always thought that the best remuneration for a teacher is to see the best results for their pupils as their profession is a calling," remarked the prince. Prince Masitsela was addressing participants during the Smart Partnership Dialogue at LaMgabhi constituency.
The teachers’ strike dubbed ‘Waya Waya’ has entered its third week. Teachers are demanding a 4.5 per cent salary increment.

HRH Prince Masitsela is totally dreaming, the culture of begging has long expired. I hope u understand that, sinincenge kakhulu egameni lenhlonipho kantsi nine anisihloniphi.Teachers want what is due to them. Where do their Majesties stay? Are they not staying in this Kingdom or you are telling us that they are not affected by this strike. For your own information we dont need u tell us that cos we know that their relatives and friends children are not feeling the heat unlike the poor of the poorer. If u have nothing to talk about just keep your Holy mouth shut (as per your words yrs back) NKOSI!
