Hlobisile now has two cars
EZULWINI – A 28-year-old woman from Ntontozi yesterday won a car worth E120 000 in the Ezulwini Super Spar win a Car competition.
Hlobisile Nombulelo Hlophe says she bought groceries worth over E2 000 to stand a chance to win the vehicle.
She said she was pleasantly surprised when she received a call on Wednesday informing her that she has won a car. She said, even though she entered the competition with little hope of winning, she was, however, always longing that it becomes hers.
"This will be my second car and I am very excited about it. I am at loss for words and I still don’t believe that it is mine," she said.
"Ever since the Ezulwini branch of Spar was opened, I have been visiting the shop frequently to buy groceries. Again, everyday when I drive to Mbabane to drop my mother there, I make a stop and buy some groceries," she said.
Hlophe said she is not employed but she lives by selling clothes and handbags. She said the car will help her improve the business.
"I am very grateful to Spar. Thank you very much," she excitedly said.
Meanwhile, Jannie Greeff, Spar Store Manager, said entrants had to buy groceries worth E250 or more to qualify for the competition.
"This is the first competition ever since the Ezulwini branch was opened and we hope to host more competitions as a way to give back to customers," he said.
Greeff said the draw was held on Wednesday.
