NHLANGANO – There was hysteria and dozens of people were saved during an eventful all night prayer hosted at the Divine Healing Ministries on Friday at KaMjuda Hall.

The heated service was led by Bishop Nash Shongwe.

Some screamed and collapsed as the man of the cloth declared the night as the Lord’s night.

Ushers and other members of the church had quite a tough time inside the hall trying to control those who were suspected to be possessed as they tried to escape the bishop’s touch.

As they fell to the ground upon being prayed for some had to be decently covered up with clothing material by the church members.

It all started when Bishop Shongwe took to the pulpit at about 11.15pm.

Shongwe proclaimed that something was bound to happen on the night "but the greatest miracle to occur was that of many souls repenting."

His opening verse was read from Matthew Chapter 11 Verse 28-29.

As he ended his sermon the man of God called upon people to come forth to be prayed for after which he then called upon the sick to come for healing as he laid his hands upon them. As he prayed for those who came forward one woman tried to turn back.

However, she was stopped. Bishop Shongwe started to concentrate on her and pointed a finger at her as he continued praying.

Some of the church members were guiding her from behind to stop her from bolting out of the hall as Bishop Shongwe got closer to her.

She then began to scream hysterically and when Shongwe finally touched her, she collapsed.

As he continued praying for others and his hands upon them, many followed suit and collapsed.

All the while Christians were singing and praising God, one gentleman who was capturing the event handed his camera to a fellow colleague as he said he was overcome by fear.

One woman who was being prayed for as she tried to cough out something said she was seeing chunks of meat on the ground though others could not. Another, who later identified her- self as Nonhlanhla when testifying how she had been healed during the service said she had been possessed for years and would always bite her tongue in the middle of the night thinking she was drinking blood.

Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group followed after the bishop’s service with an entertaining performance which uplifted the spirits of many.

Long nightdresses a turn off - Bishop

NHLANGANO – Bishop Nash Shongwe has discouraged women from wearing long nightdresses when going to bed.

He said this was a turn off to their husbands. This was during his moving sermon on Friday night at Kamjuda Hall in Nhlangano. Also present during the sermon was Minister of Tourism and Evironm-ental Affairs Mduduzi Dlamini and Shiselweni Regional Administrator Paul Dlamini.

"Women please do away with these long nightdresses. I am helping you in maintaining your homes. A nightdress should be this long," he said pointing way above the knees to the thighs."You see, even if you turn back your husband must appreciate you as his woman not these huge cover-up dresses you wear when going to bed," said the Bishop much to the laughter and appreciation of many.

Likewise, the man of God also came hard on the males for failing to give their woman the much deserved love and money too. "Give your wife mon-ey not change. Love your wife. Just take a look at my wife. Nalabo Miss Swaziland sebangamane bangidlele umona (even the Miss Swazilands would be obviously jealous if they do not see what I see)," he said.

: Do you think the idea of the SADC ministers, to standardise salaries across the board for all SADC countries, is a good one?
