Gcwala Q&A!... with funky socialite Frankie
He is this country’s ‘it thing’ and dresses in the most funkiest of clothes after all, he is a fashion worm.
Frankie Dlamini is his name and I am sure he needs no introduction as he has graced most of this country’s top events and in all of them, he has left attendees yearning for more with his equally appetising dance moves. He answers Gcwala’s Q&A.
Q: Your favourite dream holiday?
A: Wow! I would like to go to Ibiza, an Island in the Spanish Coast where all the rich celebrities in America visit. That is where you get to see all the expensive clothes and get motivated. I wo-uld definitely kill to visit that place.
Q: Your favourite TV show?
A: There are a number of TV shows I really enjoy but I guess ‘Fashion Police’ on Vuzu TV takes my breath aw-ay. It is a show whe-re they tell things as they are and don’t hide behind the bush. For instance, they attend nice events and expose fashion misses like they are and on the spot. It’s funny.
Q: What’s the scariest thing you have ever done?
A: It was when I posed nude during a photo shoot for a peaceful art piece. The pictures however, were not published as the whole project didn’t materialise.
Q: A moment very special to you?
A: It was on my 21st birthday party. It was so special to me because both my parents were there.
Q: What is your favourite TV actor?
A: Definitely Will Smith. Not only is he hot, he is also intelligent and has the most beautiful structure this world has ever seen. I basically watch all his movies and I am always mesmerised.
Q: If you could have dinner with anyone in the world who could it be and why?
A: Madonna. Oh my god! I love everything about her, I just reason and function without thinking about her. We would definitely share a lot of ideas in terms of fashion and looking good.
Q: Your favourite quote from a song?
A: ‘Your Majesty, The Queen’, a line extracted from DJ Zinhle’s song titled, ‘My Name Is’. It says everything, if you know what I mean. It represents us ‘divas’ and uplifts and restores our self-esteem, you know.
Q: What is on your bedside table?
A: My late mother’s jewellery box, Bible...of course I do have a Bible, my mum’s rosary and Lindt’s sweet chocolates.
