MBABANE – A total of 30 Apostles, Bishops and Pastors will next week Friday converge at the Mavuso Trade Centre to pray for the nation.
These include Jesus Calls Worship Centre’s Apostle Robert Kasaro, Christian Life Centre’s Pastor David Chaliyumba, Divine Healing Ministries’ Bishop Nash Shongwe, among other well known evangelists.
Under the theme, ‘National Prayer’, the event initially starts on Monday and will run until Thursday with regional prayers and fasting involving Christians in their respective congregations.
On Friday, christians congregate at Mavuso Trade Centre where pastors, bishops and apostles will be given 30 minutes each to advocate the word of God as well as to pray.
Conference of Churches (CEO) Winston Shongwe confirmed the event, adding that among other topics, economic, political, social and educational aspects will be prayed for.
"We invite all Christians to come and pray with us as we place issues concerning this country in the hands of the Lord. It has always been said that a nation that prays together survives all the trials and tribulations posed by life," he said.
The all-night prayer starts at 6pm until 6am and Christians will be blessed by beautiful gospel music delivered by Come to Jesus and Frans Dlamini.
"There will also be live prayer sessions aired on the Voice of the Church from 9:30pm till 10:30pm, on Swazi TV at 12noon until 12:45am as well as on SBIS," Shongwe said.
He noted though that slot time had not yet been confirmed by SBIS.
